Cynde Lomonte

In her 35th year of teaching, Cynde Lomonte is the only teacher in the area who has obtained her Dance Degree, has been certified by test to teach Dance Masters of America and South Texas Association of Dance Teachers, and has taught at the university level.  Cynde has won many teacher awards for choreography and technical excellence.  She was President of the Texas Chapter of Dance Masters of America and has been in the "Miss Dance Texas" and the "Jr. Miss Dance America" Pageant Director.  She originated the Texas chapter Performing Arts Competition and began the Dance Masters Jr. Membership organization.  Cynde teaches master classes at Conventions and judges for various dance organizations throughout the United States and Canada.

 

Natalie Lomonte
Natalie, Cynde's daughter is enjoying her professional career, residing in New York City.  She has performed with the internationally-known companies, Momix, Pilobolus and Parsons Dance Company.  Natalie has also done print television commercial work in the U.S. and abroad, many commercial industrials, was in the Hanes Comfort Soft national tv commercial and print ads, a Baliwood movie, music videos and has appeared on many television programs in Europe, the Mid East and Japan.  She was in Italy where she was one of six professional dancers on Italy's version of "So You Think You Can Dance" and "American Idol" combined.  Natalie appeared in the "Sex and the City 2" movie, as one of the two dancers with Liza Minelli and she is currently in the original Broadway cast of "Spiderman", where she just became the female dance captain/swing.  She comes home to Dance Dimensions when she can to choreograph and teach for us.  In her "spare time", Natalie is in great demand as a choreographer, master class teacher and judge throughout the U.S.  Miss Cynde got to attend the Spiderman opening in June - it was wonderful.

 

Susan Coburn

 

Susan grew up at CLDD.  She was a national award winning company member and soloist.  After high school graduation, and while in college, Susan was part of our faculty and passed her exams to be certified by Dance Masters of America and South Texas Association of Dance Teachers.  After obtaining her teaching degree and starting her family, Susan returned to be on Dance Dimensions' faculty and we are happy to have her with us once again.

 

Sayrah Gilbert

Sarah was also trained at CLDD.  She is currently obtaining her college degree and teaches our PreK1 and PreK2 levels.  We are so happy to have Miss Sayrah continuing on our faculty.

 

Heather Lang

Heather Lang, a Chicago native, studied at Ruth Page School and Hubbard Street Dance before earning her B.F.A in dance from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.  Heather also studied as a scholarship student at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance in Austria and the American Dance Festival. Theatre Credits: Original Broadway cast of Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark, Radio City Rockette (NYC), Nights on Broadway IISpaghetti Ballet/Eliot Feld (Joyce). Regional: Cats (Cassandra), Gypsy, Cabaret.  Broadway Workshops: Addams Family, Dangerous Beauty, Up Here. Opera: Grendel (LA opera), Damnation of Faust (Met Opera).  Film: I am Legend, Smurfs, Across the Universe, The Great Observer. TV: “Rescue Me”, “VH1 Fashion Rocks”, “MTV: Wannabe”.  Heather has also acted in numerous TV commercials.  Last year, Heather and her pal Eleanor wrote a two woman show, “The Heather Lang show by Eleanor Bauer and Vice Versus” performed in Berlin.  Besides dance, Heather loves teaching, improving, hiking, and traveling!  Currently, she is creating with Jason Parsons, Eleanor, and Ayo Jackson and is performing at the Met Opera this fall.  Heather is our Summer Intensive Faculty to be held on August 26 and 27th.

 

Kevin Ferguson
Kevin is originally from Houston, Texas. He studied at The Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, and the Alvin Ailey School and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Boston Conservatory. Mr. Ferguson is an Arts Recognitition and Talent Search recipient and teaches and choreographs in the U.S. and internationally. Among his choreography credits are The Wiz and Fame. Kevin has performed work by Nilas Martins, Donald Byrd and Larry Keigwin as a guest artist. His performing credits also include the Elisa Monte Dance Company, Radio City, The Metropolitan Opera, Regis and Kelly and The David Parsons Company of New York. Kevin’s knowledge and enthusiasm for dance is contagious and we were so excited to have him teaching our last intensive.

 

Albert Cattafi
Albert is a past "Mr. Dance of America" and has an extensive professional career.   He is in great demand as a dancer, teacher, judge and choreographer.  He recently guest taught for us and we hope his schedule will allow him to return at least once during the current year.  He can be seen dancing on the 
Video Music Awards this September (choreographed by SYTYCD's Travis Wall) and will tour Europe with the "Bad Boys of Dance" (a group of some of the best male dancers in the U.S.) through next summer.  Thanks, Albert, for your amazing work.
